Northern Saw-whet Owl - Lamar County, GA - 12/4/11

Hi All,

A 4th of the year, for Georgia, Northern Saw-whet Owl (a foreign recapture) was netted and processed in Lamar County, Georgia early on the morning of 12/4, and I fortunate enough to be one of the two team members who discovered the bird in the net!

  1. Just reading about the North Saw-Whet Owl that was caught in a net in Georgia. I live in Ontario and this past friday my wife and I came upon a North Saw-Whet Owl in the bush. My bird friends tell me it most likely came from the deep south. I thought you might like to see our pictures and video: http://frametoframe.ca/photo-essay-northern-saw-whet-owl-sighting
