The 9/30 UPDATE by Me! (still working on getting my ALBirds posting set up):
Hi All,
Max Medley, of Dalton Georgia, and I made the trip over to try for the California Gull at the US 431 Hwy Gull Raft in Guntersville this morning.
The bird was on the raft when we arrived, and stayed as long as we did! We had great looks! We did not see the previously reported Franklin's Gull.
GPS: N 34 21.797 W 86 17.384
Thanks to Lorna West, Steve McConnell, and especially to Matt Morrow for providing information and helping us in our endeavor!
Good Birding All and Thanks!
Mark
