PACIFIC LOONS - Lake Lanier, GA - 4/27/11-5/2/11

Hi All,

We have had at least two accidental PACIFIC LOONS visiting recently at Lake Lanier just north of Atlanta, Georgia. Jim Flynn found a first year bird on the 27th, and then on the 28th he found an adult alternate plumaged bird in the same area of the lake. Both birds have been seen multiple times since, but not together. Yesterday only the young loon was seen.
