Friday Weekly Summary Posts provide a weekly update, and let you know, even if there are no NGR birds reported in a given week, that The NGR is alive, well, and still on the job! NGR weeks always start on Saturdays! :^)

THIS WEEK'S NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

A FERRUGINOUS HAWK in TN, a Rough-legged Hawk in NC, a TN Little Gull, and a FL Thayer's Gull. Three Snow Bunting reports, two from NC and one from AL, the last makes the 5th report for the region this November! A CASSIN'S FINCH in MS, and exceptionally, EVENING GROSBEAKS in WV, reportedly the southernmost seen this fall in the eastern USA!

Eight Rufous hummingbirds have been reported in November, but no other western hummingbird species have been posted publicly on southeastern listservs, etc. Hopefully it will be a good December for them in the southeast.

Good Near Georgia Birding!

Mark
