Friday Weekly Summary posts provide a weekly update, and let you know, even if there are no NGR birds reported in a given week, that The NGR is alive, well, and still on the job! NGR weeks always start on Saturdays! :^)
THIS WEEK'S NOTES: As expected, with spring migration basically over, and as we head into the southeastern U.S. summer birding doldrums, rare bird reports for the region have started dropping off significantly. This week though a first North American RED-LEGGED THRUSH (if accepted) was seen and photographed in Florida!Hopefully the bird will have set a 2010 summer trend of quality (and not quantity) rare bird reports for the southeast until fall migration kicks in!
Good Near Georgia Birding!
