SURFBIRD - Cedar Key Area, Levy County, FL - 3/14/10

Hi All,

Incredibly a Surfbird was found yesterday off of the western coast of Florida's northern peninsula and in the Cedar Key area in Levy County, Florida!

Surfbird is listed as very casual or occasional in Florida. The Florida RBA post contains some really great photos of the bird. According to the post and the directions it would be a very exciting and major expedition to try to relocate the bird! What a fantastic find!

The post from the Florida Rare Bird Alert:

Good Near Georgia Birding!
