Brant, Tundra Swan, Great Cormorant (possible Arctic Loon as well) - North Carolina Big Day - 11/24/09

Hi All,

Four North Carolina birders accomplished setting a new record for an ABA Big Day in North Carolina (congratulations guys!) and found some really great birds on the 24th!

At Oregon Inlet a group of Brant, and a Great Cormorant were seen!

The team saw large numbers of Tundra Swans at Pettigrew State Park, near Creswell and Columbia! Amazing that Tundra Swans are so common in the Carolinas in winter and then completely rare in Georgia!

A possible Arctic Loon was seen at Cape Hatteras as well!
