Cory's Shearwater, Masked Booby, Brown Noddy, Pomarine Jaeger, Parasitic Jaeger - Playalinda Beach Seawatch, Canaveral National Seashore FL - 10/21/09

Hi All,

Since I first read, this year, in Bill Pranty's A Birder's Guide To Florida (page 173) of thousands of jaegers, and numbers of other pelagic birds, seen in late fall in 1991 and 1992, from shore, at the Canaveral National Seashore, I have wondered to what extent that spectacle is replayed each year during late fall on days with strong east winds!

Today, a fall day of strong east winds at the site, a great report comes from Playalinda Beach at the Canaveral National Seashore of Cory's Shearwater, Masked Booby, Brown Noddy, Pomarine Jaeger, and Parasitic Jaeger seen inshore!

Good Near Georgia Birding!
