Northern Saw-whet Owls and Black-capped Chickadees - Whigg Meadow Bird Banding Station, Monroe County TN - 8/31/09-9/19/09

Hi All,

Four Northern Saw-whet Owls (for the first time) and two Black-capped Chickadees were captured and banded at the Whigg Meadow Bird Banding Station in the Cherokee National Forest, Monroe County Tennessee, between 8/31 and 9/19! The site is very near the southern limits of the year-round range of the Northern Saw-whet Owl and the Black-capped Chickadee as well!
